Students are encouraged to build a water transport device to transport at least 1⁄2 cup of water from a starting point to an ending point. We study the Water Cycle and Earth Day in April. We do Weather in a Cup created by The Teaching Reef. We also make a visual of the water cycle using construction paper cut into rings. They also write a letter if they were the Lorax and how they could be more responsible and protect our planet. They create an Earth using coffee filters and they color those with blue and green markers.
